800 dolls sent to Haiti!

Wow! If you have been following the Haiti doll drive updates this week you will be over the moon to hear that a whopping 800 dolls were sent in and shipped this April to 5 different schools in Haiti thanks to Monica and Holy Family Cluster.

"We have 689 students & ended up just over 800 dolls!!" Monica

All extra dolls were distributed to children in the area! Hooray!

Simply put - this is utterly fantastic!

I know I am thrilled and grateful to hear and see all of the up dates from the lovely and kindhearted Monica (seen above) and so so happy to know that each child has their very own doll.

Who wants to see some happy kiddies!!!! Me me me! Just look at there smiling faces! and each one has their very own doll!!!

"We hand delivered 100 to our preschoolers in Haiti, telling the older kids (in our 5 schools) they will receive theirs by sea container soon." Monica

Dolls for Children in Africa Update! 250 plus collected!!!

Amy was kind enough to send me some photos of the beautiful children in Africa who have their very own dollies now thanks to everyone who took part in the African Dolly Donations Doll Drive! With over 250 plus dolls collected .. there were a lot of happy little kiddy winks with new best friends!

They made my day! Thank you so much!!!

Brandy's friends and family put together a wonderful Doll Drive this Summer for the children in an orphanage in Ethiopia where they were in the processes of adopting their beautiful daughter from.

There goal was 150 dolls ... however they were able to collect an amazing 204!! Because there where so many dolls Brandy was able to visit 2 other orphanages where she handed them out also!!!

Brandy was kind enough to send me some adorable photos of the children receiving their very first dollies ... and the smiles are sooo big! With twinkles in their eyes ... so so sweet they melt your hearts! Unfortunately due to the children currently living in a transition home we are not allowed to show their faces.

Thank you to everyone show sent a dolly in!!! And congratulations to Brandy and her family! You're daughter is adorable! xxxxx

Haiti Doll Distribution – Renew Hope Haiti Spring Dolly Donation Drive

Congratulations to all who took part and to the wonderful people at Renew Hope Haiti for all their hard work in making this possible.

The Renew Hope Haiti Spring Dolly Donation Drive ended up with 459 dolls and meant they could be distributed to two separate schools, The Spirit of Truth Schools in Guibert Haiti and Marotiere Haiti.

“The children were so happy when they received their dolls!

One of the best stories was from Marotiere. We had distributed dolls in the morning at this school and spent the rest of the day and early evening painting the school and church.

When we were heading home at the end of the day and about a mile from the school

- we saw children at the side of the road jumping and waving at us.

It wasn’t until we were closer that we realized they were waving their dolls and shouting "Merci" (Thank you). They must have been playing with their dolls all day.

It was so heart-warming and their was not a dry eye in the car.

We want to thank Dolly Donations and all the volunteers who took time to sew for these children....we are truly grateful"

Australian Flood Doll Drive Appeal (Hope Softies) Completed!

Congratulations everyone who took part in making over 250 fabulous softies and dolls for the children of Queensland's (AU) devastated by the floods back in January.

Steph who organized the Hope Softie Drive has been busy sending them off to all the little ones in lost so much.

Congratulations everyone, The Renew Hope Haiti Doll Drive is Completed!!!

Thanks for everyone’s help!

An amazing 459 Dolls were sent in!!!

“We cannot wait to get these cuties to Haiti and in the hands of the children :) We received dolls from 10 different states as well as British Columbia. We are so grateful for all those who got involved, I cannot begin to tell you the impact these dolls make on the lives of the children who receive them :)”

Queensland Flood Appeal Dolly Drive is Completed!!! Over 40 beautiful dolls & soft toys are on their way to children who lost everything in The Queensland Flood, Australia.

“Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you.
To date, I have received 40 dolls/softies, with a few more on the way. WOW!

Thank-you to all of the beautiful woman who donated their amazing softies to this Dolly Drive.”

The Abundant Ground Dolly Drive 2010 is Complete: Fantastic News and Photos!

In February 2010 the president, Stephanie Victor, of The Abundant Ground Foundation and I set in motion a dream, to provide each of their 181 orphaned children in Haiti with their very own doll.

With the help of every one of you, we not only made this happen, but we blew past our target and managed to collect 584 dolls! All the extra dolls are being handed out to the local children who have nothing to call their own.

After a long road filled with hold ups, customs problems, and general frustration in a country still reeling from January’s devastating earthquake, the amazing commitment and perseverance of those at The Abundant Ground Foundation has finally paid off and the dolls have reached the children. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Words cannot describe how happy I am. Thank you to everyone that has taken part in this Dolly Drive, and to those that are taking part in our current Dolly Drive!

You see dreams really can come true and your dolly counts!
