Dolls, Dresses and more given out in Uganda!

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

Sarah (AU) who ran the Uganda Orphanage Doll Drive sent me some adorable photos to share of the children with their new dollies!

She also sent them all, beautiful handmade dresses from Dress a Girl Australia, toothbrushes, art supplies and over $600 to buy a new camera.

"Another lovely Aussie lady also ran an auction during the year and raised enough money to buy the land they live on so no more rent, yaay.!!! What a change we have made in their lives :)) Don't they look beautiful in their pretty dresses" Sarah

Oh my goodness they not only look beautiful but ever so happy too!

Congratulations to everyone involved in this wonderful Drive!!!!  Wow don't these smiling faces just warm your heart! Every little one deserves a dolly to love :)
And a very BIG thank you to all of Sarah's hard work organizing,  sewing and shipping them!

Hugs & Happy Sewing Everyone!

Sarah did a great job on this. I was happy to participate and so pleased to see photos of the girls with their dolls and lovely dresses. I was tickled pink to see one of the girls clutching one of my dolls! I'll definitely be participating in other dolly drives - fantastic idea Sarah (D&D) and lovely execution of this particular project Sarah (Sew Cute by Sarah) xx Miranda (Miss Miranda Made It)
